You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time, and we will. This page explains exactly how, and what happens next. It applies to everyone — customers, people who filled in a form and never booked, and anyone whose information reached us through Facebook.

How to request deletion

Email brandon@colegacylandscaping.com with the subject line Data deletion request, and include:

  • the name, email address or phone number we would have on file, and
  • the service address, if you have been a customer.

That is all we need. You do not have to give a reason, and asking will not affect any service you currently receive.

If you reached us through Facebook and would rather not email, send us a message on that page instead and say you want your data deleted. We treat that exactly the same way.

What happens, and how quickly

We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will get a second message when it is done, telling you what was removed.

Deletion covers your contact details, service address, property notes, photographs of your property, message and email history, and any information we received from Facebook such as your name, profile ID or the content of messages you sent us.

What we may have to keep, and why

We cannot delete everything in every case, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise. Where the law requires us to keep a record, we keep the minimum for the minimum time:

  • Invoices, payments and tax records. Retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. These are financial records, not marketing data.
  • Signed agreements. Retained while the contract is in force and for the period afterwards that contract law requires.
  • Unsubscribe records. If you asked us to stop emailing you, we keep a record of that request. It exists so we do not email you again by accident, and deleting it would defeat its purpose.

Anything outside those categories is deleted, not merely hidden or deactivated.

Facebook specifically

Legacy Landscaping uses Facebook to publish posts about our own work and to reply to messages and comments. If we hold information about you that originated on Facebook, the request process above removes it from our systems.

Deleting data from our systems does not delete anything from Facebook itself — that is Meta's platform and we have no control over what they keep. To remove information held by Meta, use the privacy settings in the Facebook app.

If you have asked for deletion and have not heard back within 2 business days, email again and put second request in the subject line. We would rather hear from you twice than miss it.
